It was pouring and very heavy overcast so we slept late, drank tea and had a light breakfast of meusli, Greek yoghurt and fresh grapefruit. Very healthy.
The rain was incessant so I showered late morning and hoped for a brighter afternoon. We gave up on thoughts of lunch out and had last nights leftovers with some salt and pepper potatoe wedges that Collette made. Enjoyed the bake every bit as much as last night.
Weather continued to dissappoint, got soaked when our old friend on La Cascade, our previous neighbour from charleville meziers who i had drifted alongside when mooring on 1 engine but who had really been a very sweet man. We had chatted and he was a widower boating alone and clearly late 70's. Anyway he turned up and needed help mooring in pouring rain. I had just changed into fresh clothes too!
The rain eventually stopped mid afternoon and so we strolled into town and window shopped. Very nearly made our first impulse purchase of some appetizer serving dishes but a last second spotted fault saved the day.
Back at Doucette, we settled down to footy as It was dreary and a bit chilly even. A light supper of fish soup for me tomato for Collette and an early night.
